Fireproof
Fireproof or flame-retardant fabrics are made with permanently flame-retardant fibres that comply with existing flame-retardant standards.
Thermal disinfection
These fabrics can be cleaned at 60°C, the temperature at which bacteria and viruses can best be eliminated.
Antibacterial / Antiviral
Antibacterial fabrics are woven from yarns that are specifically designed to develop antibacterial qualities.
Lightfastness
The lightfastness of a fabric is a value indicating the degree of discolouration caused by sunlight and daylight.

Recycled Yarns
Our REFabrics collection is made using recycled yarns. Thanks to eco-friendly recycling methods, our REFabrics collection is not dependent on petroleum, thereby effectively saving on natural resources and reducing the burden on the environment without compromising on quality.
REFabrics are certified by the Global Recycle Standard Registration (GRS).
Acoustic comfort
Comfortable acoustics are indispensable. Problems with acoustics stem from levels of reverberation, which need to be neutralised where possible. This is best achieved by using soft, sound-absorbing materials. The more sound these materials absorb, the higher their sound absorption coefficient, represented with α.
Blackout levels
Blackout
Blackout curtain fabrics are primarily characterised as being lightproof, i.e. blocking out 100% of light, and are therefore totally light-obscuring. No light gets through, not even at over 75,000 lux.

Dimout
Dimout curtain fabrics partially inhibit the passage of light, although not 100%, like blackout fabrics. The dimming is achieved by adding a black weft during the weaving process. The level of dimming of a dimout curtain fabric will depend on the colour of the fabric, the orientation of the window and the intensity of the outside light.
Light-filtering
Light-filtering: Curtain fabrics in this category filter light and can improve visual comfort by protecting against glare, by providing night-time privacy and limiting visual contact with the outside world in accordance with the EN14501 (Visual Comfort) standard.
Sheer / Transparant
Transparent materials filter less light than light-filtering materials.
