6. Browser cookies

A cookie - also referred to as a 'web cookie' or 'browser cookie' - is a file containing a small amount of data, often comprised of a unique identity, which is sent to and automatically stored on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when you visit a website.

Each website is able to send its own cookie to your web browser if its settings allow it to do so. Most modern browsers support cookies, while offering the user the option of disabling them. You can set your browser to reject all cookies or to notify you when cookies are sent. Some features or services on our sites run without cookies, but not without limitations.

On Indetex N.V. websites, cookies store information regarding your online preferences, allowing us to better tailor our websites to your interests. We also use cookies to continuously improve the quality of our services and to determine how our websites are predominantly used. To do this, we store user preferences via cookies and track trends and patterns in the navigation of visitors to our websites.

There are different types of cookies:

Session cookies: a user's session cookies for a website exists only within the working memory and only for as long as the user is on the website. If no expiry date or period of validity is specified when a cookie is created, only a session cookie will be generated. Web browsers usually delete session cookies when the user closes the browser.

Permanent cookies: permanent cookies remain beyond the duration of the session. If, for example, a permanent cookie is set for a maximum duration of one year, then the initial value specified in the cookie is always sent to the server when the user visits this server within this year. This makes it possible to record how the user originally navigated to this website. This is why permanent cookies are also known as 'tracking cookies'.

We may use third-party cookies to identify user trends and patterns with the help of third-party web analytics. Third-party cookies are cookies that belong to domains other than the domain displayed in the browser's address bar. Websites may contain content from third-party domains (e.g. banner advertisements). These cookies allow the users' browser history to be tracked. Data obtained using third-party cookies is processed on behalf of Indetex N.V. by their respective providers as responsible data processors. The third-party cookies on the Indetex N.V. website are only used by Indetex N.V. websites and by web analytics providers and are not passed on to any third parties. The data protection settings on most modern browsers allow for third-party tracking cookies to be blocked.

7. Technology

Indetex N.V. only uses internet technologies (e.g. cookies, Java Script) to improve user experience when using internet applications. We use Google Analytics (web analytics service) to analyse this website's content, to generate reports on website activity for website operators, and to provide website operators with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. To do this, it provides Indetex N.V. with reports on its website activities, so that Indetex N.V. can tailor its online offering to your individual requirements.

The data collected is only analysed for statistical purposes and in anonymised form. For this purpose, Google Analytics abbreviates the IP addresses for transmission. Please note that the website has been extended to include Google extension ‘gat._anonymizaIp();’. This ensures that IP addresses are registered anonymously (IP anonymisation). Google will not associate your abbreviated IP address with any other Google data.

You can at any time revoke any further tracking analyses. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) and its analysis by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available through the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB

. If you use several end devices or browsers, you may need to opt out separately on each end device or browser.

8. Social plug-ins

Our website uses so-called social plug-ins from social networking sites, including Facebook and LinkedIn. When you access Indetex N.V.'s website through such a plug-in, your browser connects to the server of the relevant social networking site, downloads the plug-in’s visual image and displays it to you. At the same time, the social networking site receives information relating to your visit to our website, along with further data, including your IP address.

All plug-ins are marked with the brand of their respective operator: Facebook, Google, Twitter and LinkedIn (operator). In order to improve data protection and in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation, Indetex N.V. has implemented plug-ins with a so-called '2-click solution'. This ensures that, when visiting our website, no direct connection is made between your browser and the operator's servers. Only when you activate the plug-ins by clicking on them, thereby agreeing to their data transfer, does your browser establish a direct connection to the server of the respective operator. The plug-in's content is then sent by the operators directly to your browser and embedded in the website.

By embedding the plug-ins, the respective operator is informed when your browser accesses our website. If you were logged into your account when you visited the website, the corresponding operator will be able to link the visit directly to your account. If you use the plug-ins interactively, for example by clicking on the 'Facebook' button or LinkedIn 'share' button, the corresponding information will be transmitted from your browser directly and stored by the operator concerned. The information will also be made public in the relevant social network and can be displayed to your contacts. If you do not wish for such data to be transmitted to the operator, you need to log out of your respective account before clicking on and activating any such plug-ins.

The operators' privacy policies provide further information on the purpose and scope of the gathering, processing and use of this data:
